About me
I grew up celebrating a holiday birthday, so my sweet mama always made sure to roll out an elaborately handcrafted and festive cake.
Plus, I was the kid who always brought tweezers with me to Christmas cookie baking -- those jimmies weren't gonna place themselves, ya know! I began my own decorating stint in the late 90s in grocery, while attending the UW School of Art. I later worked as a professional jeweler, and then stumbled into "corporate" cake (did you know that Edible Images were actually invented by a Tacoma-based company?!). Over the years, I've had the good fortune to work in a few excellent local bakeries, but in the end I left commercial baking to spend time with my kids. As it turns out, though ... I just can't quit you, cake!
